Frankfurt: Getting There

Airport Rhein-Main-Flughaven, or Frankfurt International in English (FRA), is the largest airport in Germany and the third largest in Europe. Just over 10 miles from the city center, it serves as a hub for international flights worldwide and is easily accessible by the efficient public transit system.

Airlines United Airlines and German national carrier Lufthansa offer nonstop flights from the U.S. American Airlines, US Airways, Air France, and British Airways also fly into FRA.

Flight Times 7.5 hours from the East Coast; 11 hours from the West Coast. Frankfurt is a major European hub, with connections to all of Europe’s major airports. No airport in Europe except London's Heathrow has as many direct daily connections to the rest of the world.
