Galapagos Islands When To Go

Peak Season: November to April; July to August
The Galapagos’ high season is almost year round and depends more on the summer vacations of visitors than the actual weather here. November-April is quite hot, although temperatures can drop to as low as 68 in July and August. Heavy showers are common from January through June, but the hills are lush and green.
Off Season: May; September to October
September and October see slightly fewer visitors and lower prices, but this may not last as tourism continues to grow. Temperatures drop slightly, vegetation is sparse, and birds begin mating.
Sweet Spot:May to June
Rates will probably still be high in May and June, but you might be able to find a last minute steal if you time it right. The weather will be a mix of sunshine and rain.
