Peak Season: May to September Although summer offers the warmest weather, sunshine is elusive in Hamburg and temperatures rarely exceed the 70s. Hotel rates are at their highest and flights in and out of Hamburg at their most packed at this time of year.
Off Season: January to April Crowds are at their lowest in the winter due to freezing temperatures and predictably gray and cloudy skies. You can try to bargain on room rates at this time of year, but don’t expect prices to budge much.
Sweet Spot: October to December December sees a bit of a tourist bump thanks to the Christmas markets, which attract folks from around Europe. Fall is a good time to visit as temperatures are still in the 50s and 60s and summer’s crowds have subsided.
