Hawaii Getting There

Airports
All the main islands have at least one airport. International flights and most domestic flights arrive at Honolulu International Airport (HNL). Depending on the airline, you can also find direct flights from the continental U.S. to the Big Island, Maui, and Kauai.
Airlines
Hawaiian Airlines flies nonstop from Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, and Seattle. Aloha Airlines flies nonstop from Las Vegas, Oakland, Orange County, Reno, Sacramento, and San Diego. Delta Airlines flies nonstop from Atlanta, and Continental Airlines flies nonstop from Newark. Hawaiian, Aloha, go!, and Island Air are the only inter-island air carriers.
Flight Times
5.5 hours from the West Coast of the continental U.S.; 11 hours from New York’s JFK (including connecting flight); 15-45 minutes for most inter-island flights.
