Peak Season: March to April; October to December As long as you don’t mind the occasional chilly night, October through December is beautiful weather-wise, with sunny skies and daytime temps in low 70s. Rates go up and rooms can be hard to come by when the annual Rugby Sevens tournament comes to town, usually sometime around Easter.
Off Season: June to September Prepare for humidity! Even your skin will stick to you in the Hong Kong summer. You’ll find substantial savings, but pay heed to typhoon warnings if they arise. Tropical rain is common, though it usually clears up quickly. Temperatures in the high 80s are common.
Sweet Spot: January to February; May The weather can be a little cool, around 55 degrees, in the earlier part of the year, and you might find travel (and crowds) tricky around Chinese New Year. It starts to get sticky when temperatures start climbing into the 70s in May, but it’s definitely bearable.
