Be aware that Iguacu National Park is open from 7:30am-6:30pm (Oct-March) and 8am-6pm (April-September). Plan your day accordingly.
Half-off
Hang on to your park ticket and get it stamped before leaving the park for 50-percent off the next day’s admission.
Park preparations
Planning a trip to the park? Pack mosquito repellent, sunscreen, water, waterproof outerwear and possibly a change of clothes – especially if you plan to take a raft tour.
Getting around
It’s easy to get around Puerto Iguacu on foot, but from the city you’ll need to take a taxi (they’re easy to find) or one of the Yellow T.A. El Práctico buses to the national park.
Border crossing
Officially, a passport and visa are required for U.S. citizens to enter both Brazil and Paraguay, but there are conflicting reports as to whether a visa is necessary for cross-border day trips.
