This boutique property in a former 19th-century mansion on the Bosporus is part of the chic new generation of hotels that have opened in the last few years, and provides a welcomed alternative to the small guesthouses or more anonymous large hotels. The property’s exterior looks much like it did in the 1800s which makes the interiors even more of a surprise, with lofted guest rooms and minimal but luxurious amenities. Many of the rooms have balconies overlooking the water and the restaurant is extremely atmospheric. The only downside is that it is a bit of a trek to the old city.
