This smaller property in Sultanahmet stands out against the other tiny guesthouses and hostels in the old part of Istanbul, thanks to its pretty rooms and garden. Made up of a few brick-and-wood town buildings typical of the area, the 25 rooms come in a variety of sizes and have a traditional Turkish decor with gorgeous kilim rugs and black-stained oak floors. The Penthouse Suite also has a great view of the Blue Mosque, and its own private terrace. Overall, the furnishings could do with a bit of a pick-me-up but at this price no one’s complaining. Turkish breakfast is served in its lovely garden courtyard.
