Though there are no nonstop flights from the U.S. to the Italian Riviera, there are daily flights to Genoa from Zurich, London, Paris, Munich, Milan and Rome. Train service from Rome or Milan is a great way to access Genoa and the surrounding area. Major airports in the area include Genoa (GOA), Nice (NCE) (1 hour from the French side) and Florence (FLR) (1 hour from the interior), none of which have direct U.S. flights, but do have budget airlines connecting from major European airports. Genoa is also Italy’s largest port, so arriving by boat is a popular method of arrival.
