Airports
There are three airports in Jordan. Amman’s Queen Alia International (AMM), the largest, services many international carriers. Civil-Marka Airport (ADJ), also in Amman, operates flights to Aqaba and regional destinations. Aqaba’s King Hussein International (AQJ) services Amman and regional destinations.
Airlines
Royal Jordanian Airlines and its subsidiary Royal Wings are the country’s official airlines. Jordan Aviation operates 6 flights a week to Aqaba from Amman. Over 20 international carriers, including British Airways, KLM and Air France, fly into Queen Alia Airport.
Flight Times
Flights from NY are 13.5 hours (19.5 from L.A.). Most routes stop in Europe – add 2 hours minimum per layover. Amman to Aqaba is 1 hour. Amman is 3.5 hours from Dubai; 2.5 from Cairo; 1 from Tel Aviv.
