Macau When To Go

Peak Season: May to September
Hoards of mainland Chinese take advantage of summer vacation from work and school to flock to Macau. The summer is great if you don’t emerge from the casinos to face the sweltering humidity and the occasional typhoon.
Off Season: January to March
Macau’s tropical situation doesn’t prevent Siberian winds from invading during winter, bringing brisk but sunny days and even cooler nights. Stlll, don’t expect too many discounts at this time – Macau is expensive year-round.
Sweet Spot: April; October to December
Weather-wise, warm, sunny days fall and spring are the best times to enjoy Macau’s colorful sights including the pageantry of Christmas and Holy Week. There are slightly fewer crowds at this time, but not by much.
