Maldives When To Go

Peak Season: December to March
The dry season is characterized by clear, brilliant skies, light breezes, and all-around meteorological perfection. Resorts are usually booked and prices are higher than the rest of the year. If you want to visit from Christmas through New Year’s, book well in advance.
Off Season: May to October
Higher humidity, with unpredictable rain showers, tropical storms, and even monsoons. Some resorts close for annual repairs. Prices are lower and tourists fewer, but think hard about your willingness to chance rain, clouds, and mosquitoes in a place where the sun is the central element to nearly every activity.
Sweet Spot: November; April
Increased water clarity means better visibility for divers. Prices are more reasonable than during high-season.
