Mallorca TRAVEL GUIDE AND DEALS

Long a favored year-round destination for northern Europeans seeking sun and sea, Majorca (also spelled Mallorca) has its share of overcrowded beaches and eyesore developments. But there are still plenty of isolated coves, tranquil villages and sophisticated rural retreats where one can escape the madding crowd between sojourns to fine restaurants and chic shops.

Why Go

For the charm, history, and beaches.

Mallorca Hotels

As a long-established tourism destination, Majorca has a full range of accommodations, from family-run budget accommodations that rent for under $150 nightly to five-star resorts for $300+ per night. There are hundreds of properties catering to the package tour crowd and last-minute deals are common.

Mallorca Restaurants

Majorca’s wide range of restaurants and cuisines cater to a variety of price points and preferences. As you might imagine, seafood is bountiful, as is locally-grown, fresh produce. Like all Spaniards, Majorcans eat their meals late so don’t expect lunch much before 1:30 and the dinner hour begins around 8:30. Dress at even the toniest spots is casual.
