Money
Majorca makes it easy to access your money – ATMs are everywhere and most hotels and restaurants take major credit cards.
Downtime
In general, shops close between 2pm and 5pm for siesta. Only department stores are open all day.
Car Rentals
The best way to explore the island is by car. Competition among car rental firms is cutthroat, so good deals are common (take time to shop around). Drivers must be 21+ and have a valid driving license and credit card.
Accomodation Bargains
Package holidays were practically invented in Majorca, so do your research before you go – there are usually excellent, all-inclusive bargains to be had, especially in the off season.
Visas
U.S and Canadian citizens do not require visas for Spain for visits of up to 90 days.
