It’s hot and humid here in the summer, especially July and August when it seems like everyone in Europe is here. Summer temperatures average in the high 80s.
Off Season: December to March
Prices are low but the weather can be unpredictable with heavy storms and even the odd snowfall in the mountains. One drawback: with so many businesses closed for the season, the resort towns feel a bit abandoned. Temperatures average 68°F.
Sweet Spot: October to November; April to May
Fall and spring are the best seasons of all. The weather is warm (in the mid-70s), sunny and the island is practically crowd-free.
