Melbourne Getting There

Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport (MEL), 14 miles northwest of the city center, is Victoria’s main hub. Most flights from the U.S. depart from Los Angeles (LAX) and arrive in Melbourne via Sydney Kingsford-Smith Airport (SYD), though a few do fly direct.

Qantas Airways is Australia’s national airline carrier, but United and American Airlines also offer flights. Domestic carriers include Qantas, Virgin Blue, and Jetstar.
