North of the South Beach scene, but within easy driving/taxi distance of its attractions, the 100-room Circa 39 borrows the trendy boutique style of its pricier southern neighbors and delivers it in a colorful, affordable package. Amenities include Aveda bathroom products, high-speed Internet access, and 32-inch LCD TVs, and if you opt for one of the suites, you’ll nab a second flat screen, plus a mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, and coffee/tea-maker. Play Bar & Lounge, with its animal-print ottomans and cobalt stools, offers a selection of board games to accompany the cocktails. The hotel's located a block from the beach and ocean-side chair/towel service is included in the rate; there's also a white-curtained day bed in the tropical courtyard and a decent-sized pool terrace for onsite lounging.
