Sherman's Expert Review

Stay in one of 40 rooms spread throughout four pink-and-green cottages with hard-wood floors and antique furnishings. West of downtown, the cottages are conveniently located near the Grove, Gables, and Little Havana.

This historic B&B has 40 charming New England style rooms filled with wicker, brass and antiques. It fills a niche - when you need to escape South Beach posing and you've already had a Deco hotel experience, it provides a nice respite. There's a... more

The Miami River Inn, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is a quaint country-style hideaway (Miami's only bed-and-breakfast!) consisting of four cottages smack in the middle of downtown Miami. In fact, it's so hidden that most locals... more

"not so good"

"An oasis with some rough edges"

We stayed at the inn in late March 2008. I read some of the other reviews and the place is a little tricky to find but not bad if you ask ahead of time or print out the directions from the website. The neighborhood is sort of rough but not really... more
