Montreal When To Go

Peak Season: June to August
Montréal sees all weather extremes but it's most alive during the hot, breezy months of June, July, and August, when the days are long and the city brims with tourists and Montrealers alike soaking up the sunshine and the sights. Traditionally, the Montréal Grand Prix in June marks the onset of high season.  Temperatures average in the high 70s.

Off Season: December to April
Low season coincides with winter and icy-cold temperatures in the mid-20s; if you're brave enough to visit in December through March, bring your down-filled coat, proper boots, a hat and mittens to keep warm. On the upside, rates, especially airfares, plummet during this time.
Sweet Spot: September to November; May
To get the best bang for your buck plan a trip in early fall or late spring when rooms are reasonably priced and easy to find. Fall brings astonishing foliage, while spring ushers in outdoor cafes, sunny skies, and festivals. Temperatures vary from 50 to 70 degrees F.
