Arguably Russia’s top fashion designer, Denis Simachev, with his aggressive, off-the-wall, “gangster-chic” style, has a boutique on the same pedestrian-only, cobblestone street that houses Hermes, Piaget, and Gucci.

Opened in 1901 by a St. Petersburg merchant, this grocery store is housed in a late-18th-century classical mansion close to Pushkin Square.
