Mumbai When To Go

Peak Season: November to February
With the weather temperate and cool, the winter months draw plenty of NRIs (non-resident Indians) as well as tourists. Hotels are filled to capacity, but shops do save their best wares for this time of year.
Off Season: August to November
Post-monsoon season brings scorching heat, but you can catch some of city’s festivals, including Ganesh Chaturthi, where the city’s residents pay homage to Lord Ganesh in a massive procession; and Diwali, the festival of lights.
Sweet Spot: March to August
Temperatures rise starting in the spring through monsoon season (June-August), but many hotels offer package deals that let you get more bang for your buck.
