There are no direct flights from the U.S. to Mykonos. From Eleftherios Venizelos Airport (ATH) in Athens, you can hop on a 40-minute puddle-jumper to Mykonos National Airport (JMK), 2 miles outside of Chora.
Airlines
Olympic Airlines has several flights daily in high-season (one flight most days in low season) between Athens and Mykonos and one daily from Crete or Santorini to Mykonos. Aegean Airlines also offers daily service in summer.
Flight Times
It’s a 40-minute flight from Athens to Mykonos, and a10-hour flight from the east coast (16 hours from the west coast) to Athens.
Ports
Mykonos has two ports, one in Chora, and the other north of Chora at Tourlos. The major port in Athens is Piraeus.
Boat Lines
From Piraeus on the mainland, Blue Star Ferries connects to Mykonos (www.bluestarferries.com).
Boat Times
It’s about a 5.5-hour ferry ride from Pireaus to Mykonos; a 3.5-hour ride on a hydrofoil (hi-speed boat).
