Summer, when temperatures average in the high 70s and the party atmosphere is in full swing, is undoubtedly the best time to visit despite the crowds. Hotels are filled to the max and ferries are jam-packed.

Prices drop drastically during the winter months as do temperatures, which average in the mid-50s. Many resort towns, as well as the fabulous beach culture, go into hibernation leaving a lonely, deserted feeling.

You’ll miss the parties, but you’ll get the most for your money, beat the summer rush, and enjoy temperate climes in the high 60s to low 70s. Plus, the water will be warm enough for swimming.
