Nantucket Beaches

Overview

With around 82 miles of shoreline, you’ll be spending a good amount of time at the beach. Unlike much of Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket’s beaches are mostly public. Those on the north shore have generally calm water, while the south shore has rougher water with strong tides and, occasionally, rip currents. The west shore is famous for sunsets.
