The weather is divine and everything is open for business but you can also count on crowds and high prices. Book hotels at least three months in advance. Temperatures average 60 degrees in spring and fall and around 75 degrees in summer.

Sure, it’s New England but, thanks to its proximity to the ocean, winters are milder here than on the mainland (30-degrees is normal). Although many establishments close over the winter, places usually remain open for Thanksgiving and Noel events.
Sweet Spot: March; April; late-September to October
If you’re lucky, the weather will cooperate and you’ll get warm days along with low prices and no crowds. Late April’s Daffodil Weekend is a great way to celebrate the coming of summer. Temperatures range between 35 and 50 degrees.
