Nevis’s best beaches are concentrated on its western and northern coasts; on its wilder, undeveloped east coast, shorelines are rocky and waters are rougher. Most beaches are open to the public, but larger resorts such as the Four Seasons have designated some of them as private and charge non-guests … more for use. In general you’ll find that beaches here are fairly secluded – in fact, it’s not unusual to have them all to yourself, with only a goat or a flock of egrets for company. Don’t expect bathrooms and changing rooms – the Ministry of Tourism is working on installing them but has yet to unveil any for public use.
