Nevis When To Go

Peak Season: Late-December to early-April
The high season on Nevis is relatively short, starting in mid-December and stretching into early or mid-April. Europeans flock to Nevis beginning just before Christmas and continuing through early spring. Expect higher rates and longer waits at restaurants. The average temperatures during these months are just a few degrees cooler than normal, with highs in the mid-80s and lows in the low-70s.
Off Season: Late-June to early-November
Life is even quieter than normal on Nevis during this time, which coincides with hurricane season. Many shops and restaurants close, so call ahead before making plans. As long as you’re willing to invest in trip insurance should a storm hit, you can bag big bargains at the hotels that do remain open. Temperatures range from the high 70s to the high 80s.
Sweet Spot: Late-April to early-June; late-November to early-December
After the crowds leave – but before the hurricanes start to churn in the Caribbean – is an excellent time to visit Nevis. The stretch before the holidays is ideal, too. Both times provide an opportunity to stretch your pennies thanks to lower rates. Temperatures hover around 80 degrees.
