Some of the island’s best views of St. Kitts can be had from this homey family-run hotel, which added four two-bedroom luxury villas to its 17-acre property in September 2008. The remaining 32 rooms are spread out between four bi-level pavilions located on the former lime plantation. Each unit comes with a private bath/shower and a fridge (if you want a Jacuzzi you’ll have to request it in advance as only four rooms are so equipped). Dinner on the patio is a delight, thanks to the cool breezes skimming across the pool. Don’t miss a stop at nearby Cottle Church; built in 1824 by John Cottle, a lenient slave owner and former president of Nevis, it was the only church on the island where slaves were allowed to worship.
