Chef Akhtar Nawab and co-owner Noel Cruz met while working at renowned restaurant Craft, and years later the two finally realized their dream of opening a restaurant together. The menu, inspired by the owners’ respective Indian-American and Philipino-American backgrounds, features dishes like crab meat resala and mattar paneer (peas with farmer cheese). The 72-seat interior features exposed brick walls and a ceiling made from reclaimed barn wood. Don’t miss out on the superb cocktail list created by master mixologists Lynnette Marrero and Brian Miller, both of whom cut their teeth at some of New York’s most revered speakeasies. Favorites include the Rita Hayworth, made with pineapple- and sage-infused Herradura Silver tequila, and the classic Zombie Punch (circa 1934), a blend of exotic rums, lime, Velvet Falernum, and absinthe (so powerful that customers are limited to one).
