Palm Beach Shopping

Overview

Palm Beach has some of the ritziest designer shopping in the country, from Armani to Chanel to Gucci, but West Palm Beach caters to the masses, with everything from chain stores to antiques. Delray Beach also has an eclectic, artsy downtown shopping district. The ultimate Palm Beach purchase? A sexy bikini from Bottega Veneta creative director and part-time Florida resident Tomas Maier, who has an eponymous boutique just off Worth Avenue.

Worth Avenue
Most often described as Florida's version of Rodeo Drive, the palm-lined thoroughfare overflows with high-end specialty stores and designer heavyweights like Pucci, Chanel, and Jimmy Choo. Don't overlook the lovely, shop-filled courtyards tucked into side streets along the avenue – like Via Mizner where Tomas Maier's ultra-chic swimwear can be found.

CityPlace
This sprawling outdoor shopping district patterned after an Italian town center offers 80 retailers, 20 restaurants, a performing arts center, and a 20-screen Muvico cinema with IMAX theater and full-service bar. Even when Palm Beach is a summer ghost town, CityPlace, though not packed, still feels alive.

Clematis Street
West Palm's historic downtown has had its share of business turnover, but you’ll still find an interesting mix of shops – buy cashmere linens and Mardi Gras beads within a few blocks of each other. It's equally well known for its nightlife, attracting a younger crowd than Palm Beach, just over the bridge.
