Spend your first day exploring Panama City. On Day 2 visit the Miraflores Locks on the Canal (spend the afternoon at the Embera Indian Village in Chagres National Park). From Day 3 on, sunbath on Panama City’s nearby Pacific sands.
One Week
Spend a day in Panama City, then hightail it to the canal en route to an eco-lodge in Gamboa. Spend 3 days there, then head back and end your trip with another 3 days at a Pacific resort.
Two Weeks
It’s not uncommon to combine a 2-day visit to Panama City with 5 days at Bocas del Toro, 3-days at Boquette, and 4-days at a rainforest resort in Gamboa.
