Philippines Getting There

Airport
A newly built (2003) international terminal at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) remains mothballed, making Mactan International Airport (CEB) in Cebu an attractive option. Some Asian budget airlines fly into Macapagal International Airport (DMIA), north of Manila.
Airlines
Philippine Airlines has the only direct flights from North America (LA, San Francisco, and Vancouver). Indirect options include Cathay Pacific, Continental and Northwest. Cebu Pacific, Jetstar Asia, Tiger Airways and Air Asia offer low-cost flights to various Asian cities.
Flight Times
13 hours from San Francisco or Los Angeles to Manila (tack a 2-hour refueling stop in Honolulu or Guam onto the westbound leg). 22-24 hours from the East Coast to Manila (including one or two layovers).
