Greater Phoenix is located near some of Arizona's most scenic destinations, making it a breeze to side trip-it to destinations like the world-famous Grand Canyon, artsy Jerome, and new age-y Sedona with its dramatic red-rock landscapes. Visitors are often surprised at the diversity in landscape, floral and fauna, and weather throughout the state.
Prescott was Arizona’s first territorial capital and today contains over 600 buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Along Whiskey Row in downtown, visitors will find unique shops, historic saloons, and restaurants. The area boasts some 450 miles of hiking and biking trails in Prescott National Forest, while five regional lakes are ideal for fishing and kayaking.
