At first glance, Shangri-la Caribe¹s cluster of thatched cabanas on the beach looks like an indigenous village. Take a closer look and it becomes apparent that this is a luxury resort, one that takes character and atmosphere seriously. The round-shaped rooms are modern and comfortable, with tile… more floors and lots of windows for maximum breeze. Each has a small terrace or patio looking out onto the ocean or the village-like grounds. A few newer, similarly styled buildings are larger, with four to six rooms. Rates include breakfast and dinner in their two restaurants, both of which serve a combination of Mexican and international cuisine.
