Positano When To Go

Positano, a popular summer destination, overflows with visitors during its hottest months (temperatures average 80 degrees). Most hotels only offer half-board during this time.

Positano relies heavily on tourists, so the small town pretty much shuts down (many hotels and restaurants included) from November to March when temperatures are cooler.

The months on the fringes of summer provide a respite from the flocks of visitors who cram into the town come July. Weather in the low 70s is common.
