Airports
The region’s largest airport is Marseille-Provence (MRS). There are also smaller airports in Avignon (AVN), and nearby Toulouse (TLS), Montpellier (MPL), and Nice (NCE).
Airlines
There are no direct flights from the U.S. to Provence, although Air France offers daily flights to nearby Nice. Most major international airlines fly to Paris and connect to regional airports on Air France.
Flight Times
New York to Paris is about 7 hours, with an additional 1.5-hour flight to Marseille or Avignon. From Los Angeles, it’s 11 hours plus a possible stopover in the U.S.; from Chicago it’s 8 hours to Paris.
