Quebec City When To Go

Peak Season: June to September
Locals and visitors alike are out in the streets in droves during the warmer months. Attractions and hotels are busy but package deals are widely available.
Off Season: November to April
While most tourists shy away from this winter wonderland, hotel prices do peak over the holiday season, and during Carnivale d’Hiver in February. The annual winter carnival is popular for its ice sculptures, open-air skating, dogsled rides, and booths serving up traditional maple taffy poured hot and cooled over snow.
Sweet Spot: October; May
In May, the weather is still unpredictable and so it can feel like you have the city to yourself. October is also quieter after the summer rush but one of Quebec’s most popular festivals, the Sacred Music Festival, keeps it from being a ghost town.
