Sherman's Expert Review

The Loews Coronado Bay Resort's serene seaside setting comes with incredible panoramic views that stretch all the way to downtown San Diego. Not surprisingly, the emphasis here is on water play: from sailing your own private boat out of the hotel's 80-slip marina and hitting the surf on rented wave runners, more to soaking up some coveted California rays with private beach access or lounging by any of the hotel's three pools or two whirlpool spas. Alternately, you can head indoors to pamper yourself at the resort's exclusive spa. As you'd expect from a Loews property, the accommodations here are luxurious, with fine amenities, and wonderful water views best experienced from your own private balcony. The airy rooms are bathed in soothing nautical colors, soft linens envelop comfortable beds, and plush terry-cloth robes await; you can even choose bubble bath, candles, chocolate, and wine from the bathtub menu.

Total disappointment. It's apparent that this used to be a pretty cool place at one time. But now it's terrible. The lobby is nice but walking to the rooms reminded me of an old casino in Reno. Dirty Carpets, long corridors etc. The room was run... more

"Loews Coronado Bay Resort"

When first looking for the resort, I was a little disappointed that it was not in the picturesque little town of Coronado. We kept driving along the Silver Strand and got further away from the action on Coronado. When we found the resort, we had... more

I remember going to this place for a wedding from one of my cousins. Very cool place, very nice and well, it felt upper class. I'm told it's a very expensive hotel and I could tell by just walking into the lobby/rotunda of the hotel that it wasn't... more

"Great hotel, but the double beds have got to go!!"

We have stayed here twice before and enjoyed enough to stay again. We recently stayed here for 4 nights and had a great time. The first room we were given overlooked the portable storage containers and did not work for us. We spoke with the front... more

"I could live here!"

Hello! I LOVE Loew's Hotel. I come from Vegas, as a preteen at the time (11, now I am 13). I went with my Godmother, Godfather, and Aunt one year for a "Christmas Trip". We wanted to get away from the bustle of our daily lives. Pros: This hotel is... more
