Sherman's Expert Review

In the heart of Mission Bay (not far from SeaWorld), Paradise Point, a member of the prestigious Noble House Family of hotels and resorts, is a tropical oasis with 40+ acres of rambling gardens, lagoons, and beaches dotted with 60s-style bungalows. An untamed jungle feel pervades the resort, which boastsmore soaring wood-beamed ceilings in the lobby, fireplaces, unicorn sculptures, and glass chandeliers. The grounds themselves are enough to keep you busy with five pools, 1.3 miles of white-sand beaches, lit tennis courts, an 18-hole golf course, full-service marina, and a Balinese spa and salon. Although the interiors of the beach cottages here recently got a facelift and now feature casual California motifs, sunny walls, bright colors, and beach-house decor, the exteriors of the 462 units remain undeniably 60s like, with a ranch-like style. All units feature cascading showers, cable TVs and movies, mini-fridge, in-room coffee service, two-line speakerphones and data ports, and microwaves.

"Had a nice time, but wouldn't come back."

Went with 3 girlfriends - Sex & The City style. Opened the door to our Executive Suite, and it looked like most of the furniture that was supposed to be there had been stolen! We literally had a dance floor in the middle of our living space! (We... more

Loves it. Chill place to sneak into at night...drive along the resort roads in stealth mode (lights out, loves) and you'll have never seen more beautiful palm trees lit up guiding you through the streets. when you come to a round-about at what looks... more

"Not What We Expected"

The property is beautiful. Like a Hawaiin vacation... without the music though. Way too quite there. We booked our room through an outside

It was a quiet, romantic kind of night tonight - the moon is almost full and the sunset was beautiful in a subtle way. I can't imagine a nicer place in San Diego right now than this strange, stereotypical resort on a little private island... more

"BEWARE OF ADDITIONAL COSTS!"

The web site does not indicate additional costs of $ per day per Adult. Please read the "FINE PRINT". The service was mediocre, food was good, but pricey. Maid service was poor.

I love this hotel. My fam always stays at this hotel when we go to SD. Its on the pricey side, but if you can stay bayside/beach side its worth it. The rooms aren't bad. I mean sure for the price you would expect a different style from the rooms,... more

"Not worth the price!"

For $300+ a night we were expecting much more (like the photos on the website). When we FINALLY found our room, there was only 1 bed for a party of 4. The front desk wasn't much help and kept insisting WE had requested that type of bedding... more

Went with my family and had a great time.  Not super luxurious but lots of fun for kids.  Keep your expectations in check and you'll have a great time.

"Paradise Point is Paradise"

My wife and I returned to Paradise Point because we enjoyed it so much the first time. The service is friendly and the ambiance is one of palm trees, ponds, mission bay and friendly ducks waiting to be fed. It doesn't have the feel of a hotel but... more
