Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers serves the region. Sanibel and Captiva islands are 45 minutes away by car, which includes a $6 causeway toll. Since a taxi runs about $60 each way, we recommend you rent a car, which will also make getting around the islands much easier.
