Except for the Lunar New Year holiday, room discounts are common during this period. Avoid March and April when periodic dust storms blanket the city with a thick film and cause health problems. Winter temperatures average 30-degrees; spring sees 60-degree weather.
Sweet Spot: May to June; September to December
Still technically the “off” season, hotel discounts can still be found, though the weather is much nicer (spring brings cheery blossoms, fall sees colored leaves). Warning: during Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) roads and airports teem with travelers.
