Airports
Nearly all overseas flights, along with some domestic routes, arrive at Pudong International Airport (PVG), about 20 miles from downtown. The bulk of the domestic traffic lands at Hongqiao Airport (SHA), an older facility in Shanghai’s western suburbs.
Airlines
United flies nonstop to Shanghai from Chicago and San Francisco. American also offers daily departures from Chicago. China Eastern’s nonstop routes depart from Los Angeles, New York, and Vancouver, while Air Canada provides direct flights from Toronto and Vancouver. Delta plans to add nonstop service from Atlanta in March 2008.

Thirteen hours nonstop from the West Coast; 14 hours from Chicago; 15 hours from New York.
