Shanghai Nightlife

Nightlife

Depending on your personal history, Shanghai’s nightlife can seem hopelessly tame or wildly chaotic. Venues come and go with unpredictable frequency and new openings average three per month. Most bars fill by 10pm and close at 2am; others reach the boiling point after midnight, then cook until 4am. Check the local English-language magazines for up-to-date listings.
