Rooms are large and a study in contrasts: Stark white walls, linens, and floor-to-ceiling curtains; dark wood fixtures and bed frames; and lacquered Oriental furniture beautify units. Bathrooms are more old-fashioned with raised stone basins and wood counters. Most junior suites come with balconies. The single apartment is twice the size of a standard room and has a kitchen, which is handy for those who want to explore and shop the nearby market. Otherwise, the hotel’s restaurant is well priced and well regarded by locals.
