Spain: When To Go

Peak Season: July to August Spanish and foreign tourists flock to the cities, historical sites, and beaches. It’s hot and dry in the interior, hot and humid on the Mediterranean coast, and pleasantly cool along the northern Atlantic seaboard.

Off Season: November to March It can be chilly and wet in the Spanish interior and the north, but the Mediterranean region and the Balearic Islands enjoy many sunny, warm days in winter. Prices fall along with the crowds.

Sweet Spot: April to June; September to October The best time to visit Spain is during these months, with fewer tourists and moderate temperatures. Along with the better weather, cities and towns throughout the country host fiestas during these seasons and hotel rates are somewhat lower than during peak travel months.
