If you’ve ever dreamed of kicking back in an overwater bungalow, Tahiti and its surrounding islands are for you – just prepare yourself for sticker shock – $800 a night is the standard and even mainland accommodations aren’t much more affordable. Quality budget accommodations are scarce, but if you’re looking to save money, a Tahitian vacation probably isn’t right for you anyways as the island is pretty expensive on the whole.
