Despite the intense summer heat, Tel Aviv is packed with summer vacationers, especially the free-spending French. Autumn’s Jewish holiday season (around Rosh Hashanah in the Fall) and spring’s Passover time (March/April) are also very busy.
Off Season: December to March
Tel Aviv’s winter is rainy and cool – beach-seeking tourists stay away, but urbanites enjoy the city’s still-pleasant temperatures and rock-bottom hotel prices.
Sweet Spot: April; September to December
The arrival of spring and fall signal fewer crowds, more moderate weather, and better deals at hotels. This is Tel Aviv at its laid-back best.
