Airport Virtually all international flights arrive at Narita International Airport (NRT), the city’s main air transportation hub. It’s about 42 miles east of the city, connected by trains and “limousine bus” service to hotels. Haneda (HND), Tokyo’s main domestic airport, is closer-in.
Airlines Japan’s two major airlines, Japan Airlines (JAL) and All Nippon Airways (ANA), have their hubs at NRT. It’s also served by major US carriers – United, Continental, American Airlines, Delta, and Northwest – and most major international carriers. JAL and ANA are the dominant carriers out of Haneda Airport.
