November to May is prime vacation time in the UAE as weather is mostly temperate (around 80 degrees) and outdoor activities are once again enjoyable. On occasion, though, May will experience summer-like heat waves.

In 2008 and 2009 the holy months of Ramadan are wedged in between the sweltering summer and the popular winter. Regional visitors take advantage of holiday discounts, filling hotels and attractions. It’s also illegal to drink, smoke or eat in public during this time.
