Perched atop the Colorado Rockies, this pair of alpine resorts offers some of skidom’s finest: 7,000 acres of wide powdery steeps, village-to-village-skiing, Tyrolean towns, and prime après-ski appeal.
For every winter activity you can imagine, both on and off the slopes.
While it’s easy to have an all-out swanky ski escape at one of the top-tier and pricey (we’re talking $500 and up in December) Vail/Beaver Creek hotels, you can also stay for a lot less at the range of affordable accommodations (between $200-299 nightly). Any room under $200 should be considered “budget,” but don’t expect to find much for less than $150 per night.
